Lesson 4: Noun (Singular and Plural) (continued)

Some nouns that end in f or fe are changed to ‘ves’ to form the plural:
Singular                                    Plural
Calf                                            Calves
Half                                            Halves
Knife                                           Knives
Leaf                                             Leaves
Wife                                               Wives
Loaf                                                Loaves
Sheaf                                              Sheaves

Some nouns That end in f simply add ‘s’ to from the plural:


Belife                          beliefs
Chief                           Chiefs
Roof                            Roofs
Cliff                              Cliffs
